Recommendation Context
Resource Lens turns Azure cost signals into a review case: why the opportunity exists, which evidence supports it, what contradicts it, what is unknown, and what must be validated before action.
What it does
- Preserves the evidence provenance used for each recommendation.
- Separates supporting signals, counter-signals, assumptions, missing telemetry, and required validation.
- Shows monthly and annual savings estimates, confidence, risk, effort, and affected resources.
- Compares optimization scenarios, including the candidate monthly cost and validation required for each option.
- Keeps recommendations attached to the analysis run, trace, and artifacts that produced them.
Why it matters
Recommendations are easier to sponsor when leaders can see the resource, scope, expected impact, and review context in one place.
How it works
- Select optional read-only permissions for richer analysis context.
- Run analysis against selected subscriptions and resource types.
- Open a recommendation to review its evidence, uncertainty, alternatives, and validation requirements.
