Resource Lens guides an administrator from Microsoft sign-in through tenant verification, consent, scope selection, role assignment, and validation before analysis begins.
What it does
- Shows the signed-in user, tenant name, and tenant ID.
- Requests the required tenant consent for the Resource Lens enterprise application.
- Lets administrators select management groups and subscriptions, search the available hierarchy, and review the final scope.
- Requires Reader and can add Cost Management Reader, Monitoring Reader, and Advisor Reviews Reader where richer evidence is wanted.
- Applies and validates role assignments before marking the workspace ready.
- Saves progress so interrupted setup can be resumed.
