Resource Lens is delivered as a SaaS offer through Azure Marketplace, reducing the need for customer-hosted cost-analysis infrastructure.

What this means

• No customer-hosted analysis infrastructure is required.
• Access is configured through the Resource Lens enterprise application and Azure role assignments.
• The portal manages tenant setup, live analysis runs, recommendations, evidence, settings, and Marketplace usage.
• Analysis processing and saved results are isolated by the authenticated Resource Lens workspace and Azure tenant.

Data handling

Resource Lens processes inventory, cost, Advisor, monitoring, activity-log, and retail-pricing context only when the configured scope and permissions make those signals available. Generated recommendations and artifacts remain advisory.
